“Communication between doctors and insurance company happened but Katy was still experiencing significant pain in her foot. So the insurance company wanted us to travel to see another doctor in South Africa which we did. He believes she broke a bone in her foot that had healed but that she had a secondary injury from compensating from the pain. He recommended crutches for 6 weeks. She’s 4 weeks in, has a stress fracture in her hand now and while the secondary injury feels better, the original injury is still causing pain. We’re really praying that after the 6 weeks everything will be fully healed and Katy can move on from all this.”
