“We had a green light with both of our camps in June; initially with our teen boys and then with the girls. We are thankful for great fellowship, for God speaking into our lives and also for protection during all the activities. One of our youngest boys, who has only been with us for a few months, amazed us over and over again with his questions and answers during Bible lessons. To the question of what they would have done whenever the devil tempted Jesus by saying that he should throw himself from the pinnacle of the temple because God promised in His Word that the angels would carry him in their hands, he answered spontaneously: “I would have told the devil, that he should jump first.” A boy, who cannot read or write, but has great potential. This was his first camp and he was one of our most attentive participants.

The girl’s camp was again totally different. One of the most memorable moments was when a co-worker asked the girls for forgiveness in the name of Christ for where their mothers had failed them or were to blame. That triggered some emotions. One girl knelt spontaneously in front of the gathering and, with tears, asked the other girls to pray for her because she had rebelled against her mother for many years and she wanted to reconcile with her. A second girl came forward and wanted us to pray for her, so that she would be able find her mother who had left her with relatives when she was a small child. We are thankful that so much pain broke loose and with that, opened the way to inner healing.”
