We were sorry to learn that she had been a ciripwa, a girl ‘married’ to the spirit of a dead man and who serves as a slave in the dead man’s home. A ciripwa is a relative of the person responsible for the death of the dead man (according to the witchdoctor consulted). Although Rebeca was later ‘released’ to be married to a young man, they are separated and she is considered to belong to the family that enslaved her… Please pray for her to find freedom in Christ and for a resolution to her current situation.”
