Pray for South Sudan. Last week fighting broke out in the capital, Juba, and spread to areas across the country. On Monday 11th July a ceasefire came into effect and appears to be holding. AIM has evacuated missionaries from the area. Please pray for restraint by all military forces to stop the fighting; protection for civilians seeking shelter at UN safe zones and elsewhere and provision of basic living necessities. Pray that the church in South Sudan will be agents of peace and support those caught up in the violence; and pray for wisdom for AIM and other mission organisations as we make decisions on how best to act in the ongoing situation.
