29 April 2016

Jessica Goldschmidt

“It’s April, just a usual month for most of us… but not so here in Rwanda. A friend of mine wrote that she hates April and she wished they could cancel April from the calendar. “Kwibuka” means “to remember”. Yes, 22 years, so not that long ago, the dreadful genocide took the lives of many here in Rwanda. It’s not just “normal” for people to have parents here, or still have all their siblings. Will you pray for comfort for those who are suffering and wished their dear ones back; healing for those who have been traumatized by what they saw or experienced; God’s power to forgive and receive forgiveness?”
