Graeme & Eli are currently on Home Assignment in the UK. “North west Madagascar is one of the furthest outposts of the Islamic world in Eastern Africa. Here Islam is often mixed with traditional beliefs where the fear and power of ancestors together with a multitude of local taboos govern every aspect of life… Cultural issues mean that the gospel is seen to only be open to people of a certain ethnic background. People who are from the Sakalava, Tsimiety and Antakarana have often grown up believing that Jesus is just for foreigners or people from other tribes… We believe that it is the Malagasy church which God is primarily calling to reach the lost in North west Madagascar and surrounding unreached nations. As such we are working… with the Malagasy church to see them plant churches among these unreached peoples…. AIM have set a deadline for the end of November for us to have all of our finance in place if we are to return to Madagascar on 2nd January.” Please pray that God would provide what they need; and if you are interested in supporting the Mallett family financially or in prayer, please visit their webpage at (www.eu.aimint.org/themalletts) for more information.
