Caroline Bell has partnered with churches in Moroto, Uganda, to envision, equip, mobilise, and encourage believers to reach out to rural Karimojong communities with the gospel. A growing focus for the team is equipping leaders in the church and in line with this, a Theological Education by Extension (TEE) course was started at the beginning of May. The course is accredited by a university in Kampala and participants will graduate after two years with a certificate in Theology. It is very exciting, as many church leaders have not had the opportunity to gain formal training. TEE allows students to remain at home with their families and continue serving in their churches as they study. This also helps to keep the cost down. 21 participants from a number of different churches meet every Saturday afternoon. During the week they have reading and assignments to complete. Please pray that those taking the course will grow in their relationship with God and will be well equipped for their leadership roles. Pray for the team as they coordinate the programme, and also as they consider ways to equip leaders in rural communities who may not be able to engage with the TEE programme.
