Ben and Christelle Simonin serve in Mayotte, making disciples among the unreached people living there. When they returned to Mayotte after hurricane Chido, they were keen to make psychological care accessible to the inhabitants of Mayotte as they had found a very tired and resigned population. They were able to organize an entire week around mental health, which they called: “CHIDO, let’s talk about it?” They were helped by Jay Doza, a Christian trauma specialist. She spoke at several events, led conferences on trauma, a discussion group around a brunch, and a film debate on anxiety. Within the church, she spoke at a youth camp, as well as at a post-Chido discussion group. Pray for fruit from all this.
