Barry & Heather are currently in the UK on Medical Leave. “Heather had her second operation on 17th October, which according to the surgeons went well… We have had so much to be thankful for over the past nine months: the wonderful treatment and care Heather has received from all of the NHS staff; the amazing news that there was no sign of any cancer remaining after the chemotherapy; that the two subsequent operations were successful; the fact that everything is healing well and that the long term prognosis is very good… The next step is a three-week course of radiotherapy, and having had a meeting with the oncologist last week it was decided that this will not happen until the new year… Praise God for the success of Heather’s treatment & for the good long term prognosis. Please continue to pray for physical healing for Heather’s body, that her mouth sores will disappear & the rest of her treatment, including the radiotherapy, will be effective with minimal side effects.”
