Where we come from is an important part of our identity. Why not think about your own identity by writing a poem about yourself, starting each line with the words “I come from”. Think about the places you come from, the friends you have, the books you like – the things that make you who you are. Try to be specific. Instead of writing “I come from a small house”, write something that’s unique to you: “I come from a house with a yellow door and a line of broken roof tiles, from a bedroom with unicorn wallpaper”.
