Elle is part of a medical ministry team on the Indian Ocean Islands and has recently had a short-termer, ‘Z’, arrive to join her team for the next six months. The rainy season means roads and paths are slippery and muddy, and recently, as Elle was taking a bus to the capital, she had to get out and slide down the muddy bank to find another bus, because a truck had got stuck in the mud and was blocking the way! Please pray for plans to improve the roads, as it now takes at least three hours for her to get to the capital, which is the only place to buy tea bags and toilet paper! Elle still struggles to understand the islanders when they’re speaking at full speed, especially on the phone. Ask the Lord to help her make progress in language, especially in listening skills, and to keep persevering when it’s hard.
