Pray for the 2.8 million living in Muslim Unreached People Groups of the Nuba Mountains in Central Sudan. It is a remote and inaccessible area; traditionally a place of refuge for people fleeing oppression. The total population of the Nuba Mountain region is approximately 4.2 million. It is estimated that over a million Nuba are internally displaced; many have fled to neighbouring countries, others have permanently resettled in the North. The Nuba people are comprised of more than 90 different ethnic groups; of these, 60 remain Unreached and Unengaged. There has been enmity between Nuba peoples and the ruling Arab Sudanese for a long time. Reports are coming in about an outbreak of cholera in the Nuba Mountains as well as other parts of Sudan. The war in Sudan is worsening the humanitarian crisis and contributing to the spread of cholera. Pray for people suffering physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Lord, have mercy on the people of Sudan!
