Kay leads a medical team on the Indian Ocean Islands. With the diabetes clinic seeing an influx of new patients, her Thursday clinics are a lot busier than they used to be, and she misses getting time to talk with each patient. The Islands have seen a huge outbreak of probable Chikungunya; most of the team have had it and nearly all have continued to deal with lingering joint pain since. Chikungunya can cause long lasting joint pain and inflammation in up to 50% of cases. There have also been several health crises on the other Island teams.
