Ann works among an unreached people group in northern Chad. What a gift it is to bring some measure of healing. But what sadness to see how people suffer. She has now been seeing mentally ill and epileptic patients in Eastern Chad for about 10 years. Recently, she went to a health centre in a village with, reputedly, many such patients. 60 new patients came, but she could only see 50 in the two days available. Pray for resilience in the face of the suffering there. Seeing so many mentally ill people in two days, many of whom were very troubled, was a challenge to her heart, especially considering how long they had suffered. Ann is conscious that she will be retiring soon and so has asked the WHO team working with such patients if they could organise training so that the work can continue. Pray not only that this will happen, but that there will be people interested to learn.
