11th January

Pray for the 720,000 Swahili Bantu of East Africa Coast living in Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique. The Swahili-Bantu are predominantly small-scale fishermen, subsistence farmers, and tradesmen. Although the Swahili-Bantu identify primarily as the “Waswahili” (the people of the coast), a majority still know their traditional Bantu tribal ancestry. We are seeing the hand of Jesus at work. In December, a team hosted several groups of youth at the Umoja Pamoja site. It is growing in recognition, and for that, they praise the Lord. They were also surveying the village of Mtoni as a possible village location for a family to continue ministry. Please pray for this survey that the Holy Spirit would speak clearly to the family. Pray for the preaching of the Word as they share Christ with a dark world.
