Your journey Into mission

Therefore go…
Jesus tells us all to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matt 28:19), a work that is far from finished. In Africa alone there are more than 435 million people that have not been reached with the gospel, and even more who need to be discipled. This is what we exist for, to see Christ-centred churches among all African peoples, so that everyone has the opportunity to follow Jesus.
Following your call
Our mission advisors are here to help you and your church, as you consider serving cross-culturally. We want to help you grow and mature in your faith, so that you are equipped to help others grow and become disciple makers too. Your church is a key part of the process, and so we will involve them throughout to ensure that you are fully supported at every stage and ready to go!

We’d love to hear from you and give you the chance to introduce yourself.
2. Talking to your church
We’ll speak to your church leader, to make sure you have their support and prayer from the outset.
Short-term mission is a great practical way to get started, giving you the chance to be part of what God is doing in Africa and among Africans all over the world. It also helps people discover whether they have a desire to serve long term.
If you’re over 18 there are so many ways you can get involved. Opportunities can last from two weeks to twelve months and will encourage you in your relationship with God, as you rely on him in a new environment.
6. Cross-cultural training
We’ll help you prepare for your cross-cultural mission.
7. Go to Africa: serve, learn and see God at work.
8. Come home and debrief, reflect, pray and talk about your time as a team or individually.
9. What’s next?
Pray, share, continue to support others involved in reaching the unreached. Pray and consider whether you could go long term.
1. Start the conversation with us and speak to your church.
2. Apply to go
3. Getting to know you

4. Find out where you’re going and how you can prepare.
5. Guidance and help, on both practically and spiritually preparing, including vital things like tickets, visas, and a medical check.
How long can you offer?
What will it involve?
“I joined a team living among the Laarim. A long-term missionary and I started a Bible study in an ex-witch doctor’s compound. To see how God changed people’s hearts and lives was unforgettable. Most of the Laarim believe in God but few know what it means to follow Jesus, especially when it clashes with their culture. I can’t wait to return for the long term.” Lisa
