Behind every missionary is...

When a missionary says yes to God’s call,
they do not go alone.

Behind every missionary is a church that prays, people who give, teams who prepare and care, and supporters who faithfully stand behind God’s work. Much of this happens quietly, away from the places where the gospel is being shared. Yet without this unseen work, many missionaries could not go, stay or serve well.

At Africa Inland Mission (AIM), our longing is to see Christ-centred churches established among Africans everywhere. We help churches send cross-cultural workers, prepare them for ministry and walk alongside them throughout their years of service.

Mission begins long before someone boards a plane. It starts with prayer, listening, discernment and preparation. It continues through pastoral care, practical support, safeguarding, administration and encouragement as missionaries serve in often challenging places.

These ordinary acts of service may not make the headlines, but they help missionaries remain faithful for the long term and enable more people to hear the good news of Jesus.

God is at work

Across AIM-related ministries in the past year we have seen:

  • 129 unreached people groups engaged
  • 238 new churches planted among unreached people groups
  • 3,190 new disciples
  • 3,271 church leaders equipped

Every number represents people whose lives are being transformed by Christ.
