Connect Issue 7: Should we still go?

Our previous edition of Connect celebrated the way the Church in Africa is embracing its part in the Great Commission. This development raises an important question: What does this mean for AIM and UK churches in God’s unfolding mission? How do we complement the African Church as it becomes a dynamic mission force? The truth is our partnership remains as vital as ever.

As Steve Richardson writes in his book ‘Is the Commission still Great?’, the question isn’t ‘Should we play a part in mission?’ but rather ‘What part can we play in mission?’. Revelation tells us that one day people of every tribe, nation, and tongue will gather before the throne of the Lamb to worship him. There are still hundreds of millions of people in Africa without the gospel. We are not yet at the point of every tribe, nation, and tongue, knowing salvation through Jesus. The work is not yet done. God is still calling us to go. Have you ever wondered how God might be calling you?
