Pray for the 7-10,000 Laarim of South Sudan who live in small settlements in the Boya Hills: a rugged area with rich savanna, high grasslands and scrub bushes. Cattle-rustling continues to fuel hostilities between the Laarim and the Toposa, and efforts for peace and reconciliation have so far borne no fruit in this long-standing conflict. They are also in the middle of a cholera outbreak and the community has experienced a lot of loss. The small clinic is understaffed, lacking supplies and overworked, but they continue to curb the impact of this epidemic. Pray for the Lord’s mercy! Despite this being the hunger season, the Lord has brought rain for the gardens, and he is strengthening the faithful few believers as they are learning to look to Christ for their help. Pray for them.
