Chris and Sarah Power serve in Germany, where Chris is the HR Manager at Black Forest Academy (BFA). This year BFA has 178 staff from the US, Canada, South Korea, Germany and other places in Europe. The 269 students represent almost 60 different countries from around the globe. Around 85% of these students come from families engaged in mission work and it’s a blessing for the Powers to be part of a ministry that truly has a global reach! In addition to their roles, Chris & Sarah are “dorm friends”, supporting the dorm parents of a boys’ dorm. Twice a month on Friday evenings they join the dorm as they eat together and then hang out with the 20 boys, aged between 15 and 18 years old. As you can imagine, the dorm parents appreciate the extra help. It’s been fun for Chris & Sarah, meeting the boys and hearing where they have come from – Russia, Turkey, Spain, Kenya, the Middle East… Pray for these boys as they are away from their families and as Chris and Sarah get to know them and point them to Jesus.
