Central African Republic

Please pray for the church and the general population in southeastern Central African Republic. Zemio, where AIM has been ministering since the 1930s, has once again been turned upside down, with fighting between Russian Wagner mercenaries and the local Zande militia. The Muslim population and government forces have joined with the Russians to try and eliminate the militia. The militia members have been attacking Muslims as well as local government officials. It’s hard to get an accurate understanding of what’s going on, but the situation is dire. There are probably 50,000 displaced people from Zemio over the river in Zapai, DR Congo. Others are hiding in the bush with little access to food, clean drinking water, medical supplies, shelter, etc. Please pray for strength for God’s people in CAR, for AIM to know what we can do to help, and for a lasting peace in the area and the entire country.
