Zac moved to Tanzania at the start of the year to do Youth Sports Ministry. This month they welcomed a church group from Oregon, who came to help with the children’s camp they were running. A highlight Zac said will stay with him for the rest of his life happened one evening when they were running activities for children. A group ran past him and one child stopped and turned to him, with a huge inquisitive smile on his face, almost asking, ‘Is this for me?’. Zac nodded, and off he went to join in, beaming with joy. Sadly, children there must grow up fast, so being able to provide a space for them to be children, and to show them attention that they don’t often get, was a real privilege. Over 40 people put their faith in Jesus over the week and many seeds were planted. Praise God for this great encouragement. Please pray for these children and Zac’s relationships with them. Zac has a desire to serve long term in East Africa and is exploring what this might look like, so ask that the Lord would open up the right opportunities for him going forward.
