Please pray for the 323,000 Makhuwa Nahara who live on the north coast of Mozambique. They are a subgroup of the Makhuwa, which is the largest ethnic group in the country and comprises 40% of the population. Due to the distances between communities and the challenges of reaching those in remote coastal areas, radio provides an important opportunity to share the message of Christ. Through N. Community Radio, the ministry team has been given one hour each week to broadcast a Gospel programme called Mapattwelo, meaning “Beginnings”. Every Thursday evening, the team prepares a new programme for that hour. Through these broadcasts, they have an opportunity to communicate biblical truth and introduce listeners to the message of Jesus. Please pray that God would prepare the hearts of the Nahara people to hear and respond to the Gospel. Pray for the team, that they might have wisdom to communicate God’s Word clearly and in ways that connect with the Nahara community.
