Ruth works on an Indian Ocean Island, seeking to share the gospel with people who have never had it explained to them. Ruth has continued to meet with Holly, her language helper, each week. Holly had heard some Christian songs from previous team members before but hadn’t been interested in discussing faith for a while. At the end of one of their lessons this month, however, she suddenly asked Ruth if she knew the song called ‘Oceans’ by Hillsong. When Ruth started singing it, Holly joined in and there was something very special about sitting on her roof watching the sun set over the ocean, singing a song about the Lord. The following week they studied the lyrics to help her understand more of it and Ruth shared about Peter walking on the waves and then sinking when he lost faith. Ruth was able to share the whole story and Holly really engaged. Please ask that these sorts of conversations can continue and Holly would develop a real hunger for the Word.
