Simon and Miriam are serving in Antananarivo, Madagascar, encouraging and equipping the Malagasy church for mission, and reaching out to vulnerable women. In their last update they mentioned the progression of their first Malagasy candidates into AIM membership. Praise God that they have been formally approved and so Petera, Francine and Mamitiana will soon be heading on a short vision trip. It is hopeful that they will be able to be sent by their church after their Africa Based Orientation (ABO) in Kenya in January. Please pray that there will be no hindrances to their service, and that the Lord would clearly lead through their vision trip. Another encouragement was a local church where Simon and Miriam have done some training, who got in touch to say they plan to begin some outreach in the south of Madagascar. They believe God is calling them to evangelise in a particular region, and the training had catalysed their thinking. They have also just sent one of their worship leaders to do a six-month programme in Namibia! Praise God that the Lord is prompting more Malagasy churches to get involved in global missions. Ask that this church’s passion for mission would continue to grow and that the Lord may grant them many opportunities to proclaim the good news.
