Ann has just retired from her work among an unreached people group in northern Chad and hopes to use the coming months to share about her work before she finishes with AIM at the end of the year.  Before she left, she did see some encouragements in the local church’s women’s group, with more attending the meetings and a growing sense of community amongst those who came. Ann’s departure was hard for them, coinciding with the departure of two other women. Please pray for them as they adjust to smaller numbers, and that the Lord would help them to persevere and multiply their numbers.  Ann also had an opportunity to present a four-hour seminar on mental illness for 50 pastors before she left. Many of them consider the mentally ill as demonised, untreatable and condemned to a life of being of no use to anyone. It was good to hear one pastor talking of how he now understood that they had been missing the treatable all these years. Sadly, there are only two people in the area equipped to help such patients. Please pray for Ann as she entrusts this ministry into the Lord’s hands and seeks to be faithful to Him in a new season of life.
