Ruth serves as AIM Care Manager at Tumaini Counselling Centre in Nairobi. She has now completed her first two years at Tumaini, out of a nine-year journey of long-term mission.  As she reflects on these years, she can see that it has truly been a journey marked by the hand of God.  Over these last four months, Ruth has been in the UK enjoying time with family, friends and supporters. Some of her highlights include being able to drink water straight from the tap, the long spring and summer evenings, streetlights and cat’s eyes while driving, her mother’s home-cooked meals and Cadbury’s chocolate! As she returns to Kenya, Tumaini will be welcoming two counselling interns to the team in August/September. Please pray for Ruth and the team as they seek to support the next generation of counsellors, and that the interns will be richly blessed through their training.  Ask the Lord to give wisdom and grace as Ruth steps back into leadership responsibilities and is involved in offering counselling to attendees of the Africa Based Orientation training as they prepare to serve long term.
