Timo and Laura serve in Finland among the refugee population, sharing Jesus with them and equipping Christian refugees to reach out to fellow internationals and the Finns they live among.  About 6 weeks ago, a Muslim couple was attacked in a local park. This happened right next to the housing for many of Timo and Laura’s friends and shook the international community in the city. In the past year violent attacks in their city have increased by 28%. There are also growing mental health problems, young people are not doing well, and due to economic problems, there are many more desperate people. Unfortunately, it’s often in times like this that racism also becomes more evident. Two weeks after the above attack, it hit closer to their community. A Hindu woman who has been regularly to their food giveaway program and Sunday services, experienced an attempted attack. She ran away to safety but was very shaken. She is one of the people who have shown spiritual interest to learn and understand more about Jesus. Please pray for Timo and Laura as they seek to be a light in the community and ask that through their ministry, lives will be transformed.
