Morgan

Morgan grew up in a Christian home but started to drift from God in his teenage years. He joined the army at the age of 19 and began to adopt the lifestyle of those around him. Five years later, while being at home for Christmas, he experienced conviction for his sin, and the fear of judgement, and knew that he needed to repent and seek the Lord. The Lord drew him back to himself and continued to change his desires to want to know more of Jesus and live a life that pleases him.

This desire to use his skills and experience to be a faithful witness for Christ led Morgan to search ‘missions in Africa’ online, one night in January 2021, and begin conversations with AIM about overseas service. In May 2022 he left the army and went on the 7 week GO programme over the summer, based in the Hurri Hills in Kenya among the Gabra. As he spent time with local missionaries and the Gabra people, the Lord opened Morgan’s heart to the needs of the community and confirmed that that was where he wanted him to be. He then worked for two years in construction before joining the Dukana Inbound Team from October 2024- December 2025.

While on this team, Morgan met Abi, who had grown up in Tanzania and Kenya, and was also desiring to serve God among unreached people using her training as a nurse, and passion for women’s health and community development. They are getting married in April 2026 and then plan to head back to the Hurri Hills to serve among the Gabra.
