Maelle

My name is Maëlle, and I was born in France and live in La Rochelle. After growing up in a family with a Catholic mother and an atheist father, I met Christ at the age of 12. At 18, I met the man who would become my husband, an evangelical Protestant. At 22, I decided to give my life to Jesus. At 25, we got married. At 26, I gave birth to our first daughter, Kitoko. At 28, I gave birth to our second daughter, Jaya. At 29, my husband died of a brain tumor, and I became a widow with two young children.

What a full life in just few years on this earth! And that’s where our adventure begins…..
“We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8.28.

2019 was the most memorable year of my life. Following this tragedy, God revealed Himself to me in a powerful way and opened doors that I would never have expected. That’s when I received the call to serve Him fully, first in worship, then in mission. Today, God is using all the gifts, skills, and knowledge He has placed in me for His glory!
“The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” (Matthiew 9 : 37-38)

I cannot fail to mention Devina, a young kenyan missionary pioneer with AIM who started a ministry among refugees in La Rochelle, France when she was a student. I had the privilege of helping her in her work and taking over the leadership of this local ministry when she left the city. With more than fifteen volunteers and the collaboration of two local churches, we created a ministry to international students, called Là Pour Toi (There for You).

It was during this period that I met the person who would open the doors to mission work for me, John B. and his wife Maureen, incredible leaders who invested a lot in me over several years. It is with him that I now have the joy of working together as Co-leaders for Borderless Europe. The goal of Borderless is to SEE MULTIPLYING DISCIPLES OF JESUS AMONG ALL AFRICAN UNREACHED PEOPLES IN THE DIASPORA,

Through: Prayer, Blessing, Sending, and Partnering.

Some important scriptures for my journey:

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” (Ps 23 : 5-6)

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” (Proverbs 3 : 5-6)

”Father to the fatherless, defender of widows—this is God, whose dwelling is holy.” (Ps 68 :4)

If you would like to support me or know someone who might be interested in doing so, please don’t hesitate to contact me personally! I would love to take the time to share this with you.
