David and Patricia have been working with another Mission agency in Kenya for 9 years. They have been involved in building and maintaining different Christian FM radio stations across east and central Africa.

In early 2025 they moved to Tanzania, they are partnering with different churches and Christian organisations to see Christian radio stations come up across Tanzania. So to give the church a tool in reaching out to many.

David and Patricia Techand are based in Arusha, Tanzania and are partnering with different churches and Christian organisations to see Christian radio stations set up across Tanzania. Pray for them as they continue to learn Swahili, that the Lord would grant them joy and understanding as they increasingly get to grips with this beautiful language. Pray too that they would be salt and light as they live amongst their neighbours. They have two families with small children living right across from them and their children often play together outside.

Praise the Lord for a successful trip to Kilwa and the installation of an antenna which enables the radio station to now be on air. Pray that people will listen to this radio station, that the content shared will be good, and that people will be touched by the Good News they hear and turn to Christ!

David and Patricia Techand are preparing to serve with AIM in Tanzania in 2025. Praise the Lord for the provision of a home in Arusha from February. In Tanzania, they will be working with the radio station “Habari Maalum”. Habari Maalum means “good news”. In 2018, whilst working for the Diguna mission, they completed the radio station in Tunduru in the south of Tanzania. They have heard from there that five new churches and over 30 Bible study groups have been created through the radio programs. Pray for similar fruit in Arusha.

Christianity makes up 54% of the population with Islam totalling 31%.
