Training teams

Do you want an opportunity to see what it’s really like to live out mission? Interested in a training programme that lets you explore putting what you learn into practice? Then one of our mission training teams might be for you. We’re running two eight week programmes led by experienced missionaries and national leaders. Both include hands on experience of mission among unreached people groups, as well as providing information on spiritual principles.

GO Programme

Facilitated by experienced missionaries and national leaders, Go is a two month discipleship and mission training programme that seeks to develop Christ-like character and provide the basic skills for outreach among unreached people groups. Beginning with a two week discipleship programme in Africa, there will be a focus on learning some of the necessary skills for outreach. A five week placement follows where participants are be placed, in pairs, with missionaries who are working among unreached people groups. The programme is rounded off with a one week debrief to evaluate lessons learned, prepare for returning home and a prayerful consideration of next steps in ministry.

FUEL Programme

FUEL is a 6 to 8-week programme which lays a foundation for cross-cultural ministry, equipping you with tools to minister in hard-to-reach areas. Live and breathe missions – both academically and practically, engage with the local community, and see what mission actually looks like. Each team member will be partnered with an African teammate. You will learn more of who you are in Christ and the part you can have in making him known among the nations.

FAQS

The chances are that yes, you will be able to speak to friends and family in one form or another. This may be on the phone or via What’s App, text or Skype, but the likelihood is that there will be some form of communication that you will be able to use.

The easiest way is to fill out the contact us form on our website. Once we receive that form, we’ll be in touch to arrange a time to discuss together how the Lord is leading you.

Usually we will only facilitate opportunities for someone to repeatedly go on short term placements if there is a genuine desire to serve long term and the repeated placements are seen as preparation for longer term service. However there are some specialist opportunities that would be suitable for someone to go and serve in more regularly. Please get in touch to find out more.

Lucy

One of the biggest blessings I experienced during my time overseas has been meeting new people from a different religion and culture and learning so much from them.
