Morgan grew up in a Christian home but started to drift from God in his teenage years. He joined the army at the age of 19 and as he adopted the lifestyle of those around him he continued to walk away from the Lord. Five years later, he experienced conviction for his sin, and knew that he needed to repent and return to God’s ways. The Lord drew him back to himself and continued to change his desires to want to know more of Jesus and live a life that pleases and glorifies him. God’s heart for the nations drew Morgan to leave the army in 2022 to pursue training in construction and missions. In May 2022 Morgan joined the GO programme and then the Dukana Inbound Team in October 2024, where he met Abi.

Abi grew up in Tanzania and Kenya and accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at a young age. At the age of ten the Lord planted a desire in her heart to serve Him in His Kingdom work. This eventually led Abi to get a nursing degree, work as a postpartum nurse in California, and to serve on multiple short term trips overseas. In 2024 the Lord opened the door for her to join the Dukana Inbound Team.

Morgan and Abi were married in 2026, six months after the completion of the Inbound Team. They are now heading back to the Hurri Hills to continue serving among the Gabra, whom they served during the Inbound team.

The Gabra are semi-nomadic pastoralists scattered throughout Northern Kenya and Southern Ethiopia who herd camels, cattle, sheep, and goats in an arid desert land. They believe in an all-supreme Creator God who is distant and disconnected from them. Many have taken on other religious beliefs along with their traditional beliefs. Of the approximately 141,000 Gabra in Northern Kenya, there are around a couple hundred known evangelical believers.

Morgan and Abi feel the Lord’s leading to serve the Gabra by using their backgrounds in construction and healthcare to meet community felt needs and to partner with local believers in discipleship and sharing with neighbors who have not yet heard the Good News of Jesus.
