Edward* serves in a closed country where there are very few Christians. His fiancée Elle* was able to visit the country that they hope to return to after they get married. The visit went well, although it was shorter than they had hoped and ended up quite an intense time. Elle had a little trouble with immigration at first, then a day before their flight to the UK, Edward’s team leader had to have an emergency medical evacuation for acute appendicitis. As if all that wasn’t enough, a local believer came under pressure from her family to recant her faith or be thrown in prison, and she ended up fleeing the country (that’s the last we’ve heard, please be praying for her). It really felt like the Lord was showing Elle everything that can and does go wrong in that place. Pray for Edward and Elle as they get married and prepare to serve together.
