The 17,000 Fongoro of Sudan live in a remotearea bordering Chad. They are divided into clans: all speaking the same language, practicing the same customs, and depending upon farming, goats and cattle. They marry more than one wife. The majority are Muslims, plus African traditional religion; very few of the new generation have accepted Jesus. We praise God for the incredible work He is doing! On 9 March, five former Muslims publicly declared their faith in Jesus Christ and were baptized. Pray for their growth in faith and boldness as they follow Christ in a challenging environment. May their testimony shine brightly for the Kingdom!
