Pablo* serves in West Africa, where he continues to use English teaching as a door-opener for developing relationships for the gospel. In December 2022 there was serious persecution of Jesus’ followers in his country. Praise God that a sympathetic lawyer was found to defend those who were imprisoned, and they were released. Praise God that the majority of these imprisoned believers held firm to Christ and were a bright light to their captors who showed their astonishment that they did not deny Christ even when facing the death penalty. Pray God will protect all Jesus’ followers in Pablo’s country where a significant crack-down on believers still remains and pray for Pablo as he discerns how to continue sharing the gospel despite this scrutiny.
