Sharing the gospel with the Digo

Chris & Candy Wood currently serve on a team among the Digo on the southern coastal strip of Kenya between Mombasa and the border of Tanzania. We asked them about the challenges the Digo face in accepting the gospel for themselves.

How are we reaching the Datooga?

The Frenches have been serving in Tanzania among the Datooga people for 13 years, sharing the gospel and equipping Datooga evangelists to reach out to their own communities. They share how Bible storying projects are reaching those who are unreached with the good news.

Why do we need a crisis consultant?

Carrie Pither has recently taken on the role of AIM’s Crisis Consultant, with Harry*. She has spent the first months researching the main aspects that will underpin their roles and work, which has included the theology of risk and AIM’s duty of care.

Helping out in CAR

In April 2017 an AIM team, led by Steve & Sharon Entwistle had to leave Zemio, the Central African Republic. But since August 2017, a small team of AIM personnel has returned monthly to offer support to our African colleagues. In November, a medical team offered practical care.
