The Lord is growing his church, and Africa is home to some of the world’s largest Christian communities. Yet as few as 5% of church leaders and pastors in Africa have the biblical training they need to lead their church effectively. In such a rapidly growing church unsurprisingly many new African believers will hear a confused gospel, and many are faced with wrong teaching, simply because their church leader hasn’t been trained. In James 3:1, we are told how serious the responsibility is for those who teach in the church.
