Seb Allwright

“A Ugandan friend of mine is studying in North Africa. He loves the Lord and is living in a hostel where every single person is Muslim. He speaks regularly of the challenges, opportunities and joy he finds in being friends with them. He has had opportunities to speak of Jesus, to understand their beliefs also, to mourn and laugh and cry together. To celebrate different festivals together. He said to me the other day, ‘I wish I had some training before I came here.’ He went for studies, unaware of the opportunities he would have, but is grasping them day by day. We call people like him ‘Global Professionals’… [I have begun] to set up a network of Global Professionals from sub-Saharan Africa… We will be equipping through training and envisioning, connecting with partners in the regions they will be in and supporting churches and Global Professionals through a variety of means. All of this will be in the context of community… From the conversations I have had with university students and church leaders, this is scratching an itch. There is a desire for such a network here.” Please pray for Seb and others as they work to set up this network. Pray that the network will be a catalyst for more global professionals to spread the gospel in unreached areas.
