Russ & Lyn Noble

We were greatly saddened to learn of the death of James, one of the young AIC evangelists in Torit, a couple of weeks ago, who was persecuted and tortured for his faith in Christ, and brutally murdered. There are probably stories of others throughout South Sudan these days that we hear nothing about who are persecuted and killed. When we read the passage in the Bible in Hebrews chapter 11, we see that believers in Jesus over the millennia have seen great victories. But also included in this phenomenal list are those (like James) who stood up for their Lord and suffered for it (see especially Hebrews 11:35-38). Continue to pray for Christians in South Sudan to be daily strengthened by the Lord and to live lives as godly examples in their society.”
