Paul & Helen

“Paul is travelling to Obo in Central African Republic on 20-24th November with a few other doctors as part of a small AIM team. The war in CAR started up again in a big way in May when the US + Ugandan armies pulled out. It is between many rebel groups and there are now over 1 million refugees/ IDPs. AIM has been working in south-east CAR for many years and recently had to evacuate the team out due to the fighting reaching Zemio, the town they were in. The plan for this trip is to fly in, meet with the church leaders and encourage them, remind them they are not abandoned. They will also provide medical aid to the refugees doing clinics, seeing the most vulnerable and sickest. AIM have flown in several times since May providing food, tarpaulins and other support to the many affected by the fighting…Pray for Paul’s trip to CAR for safety and for the work and medical aid to be a real blessing. Pray also for Helen and the kids back in Kotido.”
