“This past month there have been many weddings and other celebrations in Lchakwai and the surrounding communities. We participated in some, and provided our water drums and large cooking pot for many more. On Christmas Day our church held a celebration, with chai and rice and beans for whoever came. Quite a number of people, including men and youth, attended. After the meal, a smaller number gathered for the baptism of three Samburu women. We rejoice that these women have taken this stand and will be known, not just as churchgoers, but also as followers of Jesus. Pray for other women who would like to be baptised, but are hindered by the disapproval of their husbands. Pray that God would change the hearts of their husbands.”
