“I thank God for the opportunity to teach God’s word and minister to the children and youth at the Children’s Remand Home. Recently the Officer in Charge called asking me to counsel a young 17-year-old boy who had tried to kill himself. He was abandoned when he was two years old, raised at an orphanage, he never was able to complete even Primary school, now he needed to stand on his own two feet aged 17 and he got in trouble. He did not see a reason to keep on living. We talked and prayed for a long time. One week later he was the first one in the classroom and greeted me with a smile. Asking him how he was doing, he said that he feels so much better. Thank God for bringing hope into his heart.”
