Joan Mackenzie

“I continue to support and encourage my fellow team members as they make progress in language/culture learning and in building friendships. They are becoming more proficient in language and having opportunities to share the hope they have in Jesus Christ; one has started to pray for patients in Chadian Arabic when he goes to the hospital on a Wednesday. For some time I have being connecting my colleagues with people in the community and the two Ethiopian men with the hospital staff. I was so pleased when one of the men said recently that I was like a bridge to the hospital for them. Relationships are so important in our context and create open doors for further sharing of truth. Pray for the right time for the two men to start more work at the hospital; pray for wisdom for my Unit Leader with those decisions.”
