F* has recently completed his time serving as part of a TIMO team amongst the Samburu people of Kenya. He writes “When you reflect on leaving a place, you ask yourself, did we finish what we came here to do? For me, I can answer both yes and no. We were there to be trained, to grow in our love for the lost and to understand something of the nature of a lifetime of ministry. I feel we got that. We were there to share the gospel with the Samburu in their heart language. By God’s grace, we were able to do that. But there is still so much to be done. There is a small group of men, women and young people who have expressed a hunger to know Christ, some of whom really have given their lives to Jesus, and some who are on that journey. Martin and Joy [the team leaders] will be returning to our people, and several Samburu pastors desire to partner with them in sharing the gospel and building up the church in that area. Praise God! Pray for Martin and Joy as they continue the work and partner with local pastors. Pray for these people, that God would continue to work in their lives and that we will be able to stand shoulder to shoulder with them around the throne worshiping the Lamb who was slain!”
