Alan & Pauline Jordan

“Our trip to Korr last month was quite revealing of how people struggle to live in the very arid, dry desert. We wonder how people survive, especially now there is a serious water crisis. The rain in April was not enough and many of the wells have dried up… The ladies walk for 8 km (5 miles) to fetch water, it takes them about six hours but at the moment the donkey is too weak so it’s not used anymore as there is nothing for it to eat. There are not many men in Korr as they have taken the animals to the other side of the mountain to find water and pasture for their livestock… Please pray for rain, but gentle and continuous, in the north of Kenya.”
