Outreach worker in Kenya

Many opportunities to be involved in outreach particularly with the youth.  Primarily teaching in a secondary school but also helping out in the many activities that the AIM team are involved in helping to establish the church.

A missionary couple in Northern rural Kenya are looking for assistance in their ministry. The opportunities are many.  The Bible can be communicated to people during their daily activities.  There are Bible studies, children ministry, ladies’ conversation, helping youth develop their skills – all are available to participate in.

One of the projects that the couple are involved in is a Christian radio station that broadcasts over a 70,000 mile area, covering many different people groups. Barako, Mwambi and Gollo, who run the radio station, broadcast Christian music and news in eight indigenous languages. As this is the only radio station available in most of that area, they have a large and captive audience.  There is also a mechanic workshop that services the local community.

Yes, you must be a born-again Christian with an active and growing relationship with Jesus Christ and agree with AIM's statement of faith. AIM is an evangelical Christian mission agency. We work in partnership with the African church to reach Africa's unreached peoples with the good news of Jesus Christ, and to develop leaders for the fast-growing church.

The easiest way is to fill out the contact us form on our website. Once we receive that form, we’ll be in touch to arrange a time to discuss together how the Lord is leading you.

The approximate cost of a placement is £600-£1,800 for 1-4 weeks, £3,000 for 3 months, £4,500 for 6 months, and £7,000 for 12 months (though this will vary depending on the country and type of placement).

Don’t forget to ask your church about ways they can help you to raise support. You can also earn the money, apply for grants, organise a sponsored event or hold an information evening about what you will be involved in. Further guidance on raising support will be given once you have been accepted onto the short term programme.

These people came to my home and talked about Jesus and Lazarus. Lazarus was someone who wanted to see Jesus, and Jesus came to his home. My wife and I accepted Jesus as our Saviour. We gave the belongings of the spirits to be burned. We are free.

Kenya gained independence from Britain in 1963. Since then British tourism has been a key element of Kenya’s economy, however, unemployment, poverty and crime remain high. Whilst the majority religion is Christianity, Kenya’s ethnic diversity and vast countryside means there are still many unreached with the gospel. LEARN MORE

Outreach & Evangelism
