Edward and Elle serve in a closed Muslim country where there are very few Christians. They are part of a team that aims to share the good news of Jesus with local people. Because public ministry is not possible in their country, they are seeking to win friends, colleagues and neighbours to Christ through private conversations and by reading God\u2019s word with them. Though the spiritual ground is hard, there have already been exciting opportunities to share the gospel, including Edward reading the Bible with a friend regularly for a year, going through the Old Testament prophets and helping his friend understand how they point to Jesus. Edward and Elle are also investing time in learning the local language and culture to better share the gospel in a winsome way.<\/p>\n
After graduating from University and completing a ministry training course at his church, Edward felt called to overseas work. He first met people from his country of service while doing outreach in London, and felt God was calling him to serve there. He teaches Maths and English at a University.<\/p>\n
While working a secular job, Elle met AIM missionaries who shared about their work and she was inspired to get involved in missions. After doing a short term mission trip to Mozambique among unreached Muslims she was convicted that she ought to commit to missionary work long term among unreached Muslim peoples.<\/p>\n
Edward and Elle met on an AIM conference for missionaries and quickly connected over their shared calling to share the gospel with Muslims. They began dating long-distance and married about a year later. After serving in different countries as singles they are now returning as a newly married couple and hope that their marriage can be a great witness to the love of Christ in their local community.<\/p>\n
