Could you use your professional marketing skills to help start and run a tourism business on the Islands? This business will bless the community, as well as ensuring continued access in the country for workers to live and speak for Jesus among the unreached people living there.<\/p>\r\n

Background\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

These beautiful tropical islands are 99.9% Muslim and for security reasons we refer to this area as the Indian Ocean Islands rather than naming individual islands. Islam is deeply rooted on these islands and to be an islander is to be a Muslim. There are a small number of believers on each island but many follow Jesus secretly for fear of rejection and persecution. Political instability and a lack of natural resources has left these islands underdeveloped, and all our teams serve islanders in areas such as education and medical work. The work is slow, but God is building his church here, and we wait in faith for the day when we see small groups of believers springing up across the islands, worshipping God in their own language, strong and unified, boldly speaking of the hope that they have to all around them!<\/p>\r\n

Vision & Strategy\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

The development of a tourism business on the island will help to ensure access in the country. It is an opportunity to model the body of Christ with a multi-cultural team,\u00a0and to use the strong business identity to do bold evangelism, with the\u00a0ultimate aim\u00a0of realising reproducing indigenous churches in the Islands.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n

Ministry & Type of Work\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\r\n

Help to start and run a tourism business by assisting with the design and delivery of a marketing strategy for the company, training local staff and partners on marketing related concepts, travel to regional and international travel expositions to showcase the company and establish relationships with tour operators and travel agents.<\/p>\r\n

This work goes hand in hand with a commitment to personal outreach and evangelism in the community, to see churches planted.<\/p>\r\n

We are looking for someone\u00a0to join the team for 2+ years.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n
