Could you use your love for young people, and skills in children’s ministry to reach the unreached Nyamwezi people in Tanzania? Or could you use your professional teaching skills to serve the community and build relationships in order to build a platform to share the Gospel?\u00a0<\/p>\n
The team will work amongst the unreached Nyamwezi people in the central Tanzanian region of Tabora. The Nyamwezi are largely Islamic and are the second largest tribe in Tanzania, 1-2 million strong. There are also Christian believers from various\u00a0<\/span>people groups<\/span>\u00a0and denominations in the area and, they too, need to be discipled and encouraged to reach their Muslim neighbours as many\u00a0<\/span>fear\u00a0<\/span>doing so.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The vision is to reach the Nyamwezi in Tabora region through living as a\u00a0<\/span>g<\/span>ospel witness, building relationships with leaders in the surrounding villages, and to find bridge people – those who accept the\u00a0<\/span>g<\/span>ospel message<\/span>\u00a0and can help us take it to the rest of their people group<\/span>. These people will be found in the community through building relationships through friendships, school connections, chronological Bible storying, obedience-based discipleship groups, and through\u00a0<\/span>conservation agriculture<\/span>\u00a0seminars.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n We are looking for people who will be willing to do children\u2019s Bible clubs as an outreach to the Nyamwezi as well as be involved in weekly Community Bible Study (CBS) classes for all ages as well as Sunday School classes. We are also looking for teachers to be involved in the government schools to build relationships with Nyamwezi students and their families through direct teaching and after school tuition.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Team members will be expected to learn the national language of Kiswahili\u00a0their\u00a0first year of service, at least reaching the AIM language standard of Level 2.
